Living in constant fear of someone insulting, embarrassing, or taunting you doesn’t sound like ideal school life, right? Yet, that’s the case for almost every victim of bullying. It doesn’t stop within the walls of schools. I know everyone sees it through a different pair of lenses. But as a victim of bullying myself, I feel like it created a barrier between myself and various aspects of my life, like my academics and social life, as a child.

Speaking about the bullies themselves, I’m not implying that they’re awful individuals. They may be battling personal issues of their own, so they’re projecting their insecurities or emotions through the wrong lane. So what can you do? More like…what can we do? It’s simple when you see someone getting bullied, be the friend they need. Be the one everyone looks up to, not because of what you’ve earned for yourself but for the trophies you’ve won for others by making that subtle but impactful change in their lives.
