The last school trip

Our most awaited trip to Hyderabad finally happened when everybody reported at airport around 4.30 am and bid our goodbye to our families as we walked in with our teachers, after check-in they provided us packed breakfast We landed in the Pearl city of India at around From there we headed to SALARJUNG museum where we saw a clock which had 300 parts which was available only in 2 places in the whole world. Apart from that few sculptures and European paintings were fascinating. For lunch we came to our hotel the food and stay was amazing, we had comfortable stay.

Afternoon we visited Lumbini park and NTR garden which we felt was a little boring as we didn’t have much activities to do but the boat ride we had after that was a new experience, in that darkened sky lights made the water glow and the whole scenery was so beautiful which I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget. The best part was the laser show we watched in the end which beautifully conveyed the story of Hyderabad’s rich history.

Second day was the best! We boarded the bus without knowing that this day will become something that we all would cherish for our entire life. We arrived at RAMOJI FILM CITY, collected our tickets, a nice vintage looking red bus with golden decorations and no windows came to pick us. from there our tour around the film city begun, on the way we saw the temple where Sharukhan lifted Deepika in the film Chennai express, apart from that the house which was used in Chandramukhi movie was located there, the scenes from Jodha Akbar movie was also shot there, the prison scenes in Jawan movie, the famous scene in RRR movie and many more films were shot in Ramoji. After that we saw how avatar movie was shot, learned about the behind-the-scenes work that brings such films to life.

We took a small train journey where they had depicted many scenes with amazing set up and characters. We strolled through the streets of London, not the real London through the set up they had made, and reached in time to see the dance performance of some amazing artists, they recreated scenes from Bahubali and did an aerial dance which was literally jaw opening. Then came the thrilling stunt show, a cowboy themed show which made us all shocked as the gun shots and stunts looked so real and scary, at the same time there were few funny scenes also as a whole it was just the best evening one could ask for. as sun started to set we completed sight seeing and went on to try some activities. The day ended as we reached our hotel rooms and had our dinner. It was truly the perfect ending to a magical day.

Third day started on an chilly note as we went on to experience the snow fantasy world, after collecting our jackets, gloves , socks and boots we were all set to enter the world of snow, it was colder than we expected, the first thing we did was snow fight which was truly amazing Then we tried an exciting snow slide that had everyone laughing and cheering, there was even a cozy igloo into which we crawled when we couldn’t hold the coldness any more. Songs were played when everyone gathered around to dance despite how shiveringly cold it was. We returned to hotel had lunch and proceeded to Qutub shah tomb the architecture of the tomb was so mesmerizing. Our next stop was Golconda fort, a tour guide showed us around and explained the history of the fort. The walls of the fort were made with mud, food grains and poison to keep the mosquitos away.  the king was Iranian hence he did not trust in any of the Indians around him so he used to have his food in a green plate which would change colour if the food was poisoned the king was indeed very brilliant. We also discovered that in ancient times, Indians were very tall and strong; the soldiers were said to be over six feet and would eat around 2 kg of rice and 1 kg of meat every day to maintain their strength. Just as the Taj Mahal in Agra is white and Delhi’s Red Fort is red, Golconda Fort was once known for its striking blue colour. Sadly, we could only see its ruins, as much of the fort was destroyed in a war that lasted eight months. Even the remains looked magnificent, making us imagine how breathtaking the original blue fort must have been. The architecture was so brilliant that no one could talk in secret we can say the walls really had ears and the clap sounds were heard inside the fort from outside. we climbed to the top part from where the whole Hyderabad was seen the came to an end as we watched a light show that depicted the mesmerizing history of the fort.

On the final day we visited a Birla mandir temple, museum and planetarium where we saw a show that told us about stars, galaxy, universe and everything about the outer world. Afterward, we returned to the hotel for our final lunch, packed our bags, and then headed to the famous Charminar for some shopping. That experience was something completely new—bargaining at street shops without knowing the local language was both challenging and fun! From there we boarded the bus with the items we purchased and a heart full of memories now our next destination was Hyderabad airport. We were almost 2hours early so after checking in we spent some time inside the airport took a lot of pictures and boarded the flight. We landed in Coimbatore at around 11.15pm after collecting our bags we expressed our gratitude to the teachers and the tour guide who made this whole trip a comfortable one.

Being in the last 3months of our school life this trip was everything we could ask for. 4 days with our favourite people no books just fun, laughter, sleepless nights, facing little challenges together, dancing without thinking about what’s next, and truly enjoying every moment of it .Honestly, it all felt like a beautiful dream from which we never wanted to wake up. We didn’t think these few days would create such an impact on us, and become something that will forever be etched within us. The teachers were amazing and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip, we created few unforgettable memories with them that we’ll always treasure. As 12th graders we wholeheartedly thank the school management for organizing such a wonderful trip, according to our requests, though we have spent 15 years in this school these 4 days will forever hold a special place in our heart.
